The endless permutations of pile density, pile height and yarn composition make synthetic grass the most versatile of sports surfaces. The depth, compositions and resilience can also be varied to give the desired playing characteristics.

Deciding on which surfacing option to choose involves some careful consideration. Our expert team are on hand to offer advice and to discuss your requirements further.

With less sand visible and more pile density the appearance is green and more luxuriant. The sand-dressed option offers more comfort throughout its life because the lows and content has fewer tendencies to compact. Maintenance requirements are also reduced.

The great flexibility of pile density,
length and composition, coupled
with shockpad options means
that the system can be fine tuned to the required playing characteristics.

One of the most popular synthetic
grass surfaces is sand-filled which
is economical to install and is
suitable for a wide variety of
sporting applications. With suitable regular maintenance it provides a sound investment offering good performance characteristics throughout its life.

The latest development in
synthetic turf is Third Generation
or ‘3G’ type. These surfaces have a
long pile and have a rubber/sand
mix in-fill. A shockpad option is
also available.

The integral cushioning effect of the crumb-rubber in-fill coupled with the long pile give the installed surface the characteristics of a well
maintained natural grass pitch.

These surfaces are ideal for soccer and rugby as normal studded footwear can be used without the risk of “ankle-lock” which can occur
on shorter pile surfaces when using studs.

Hockey was the first significant
sport to wholly embrace the use of
synthetic turf systems.

For hockey played at the
highest standard a water-based pitch is mandatory. Our pitches meet the requirements of the
FIH (International Hockey
Federation).

Other sports and activities can take place on the surface with or without the necessity of watering.
