Spade Oak has been an established name in the ‘black top’ industry for over thirty years and are recognised as one of the highest quality surfacing contractors in England. We enjoy excellent business relationships with a long and impressive list of clients from small local builders to multi-national contractors.

We are able to purchase materials at an extremely competitive rate thanks to building up highly beneficial relationships with suppliers; savings we are able to pass on to the customer. We procure over 300,000 tonnes of bituminous materials annually, most of which go to small to medium size projects, which carry no "political" bias that major contracts inevitably attract.

From tender stage to completion the constant objective is to carry out all contracts on time, within budget and wherever possible, without additional charges. We will always endeavour to check formation levels prior to commencement, thereby offering the opportunity to ensure that no additional bituminous materials are used and charged unnecessarily.

Our focus is centred on building lasting relationships with customers and suppliers alike and we do not subscribe to the ‘claims culture’ that has always existed in our industry.

Our directly employed staff and labour are our most valuable assets. It is their dedication to hard work and honest performance that makes us stand head and shoulders above other surfacing contractors.

They all adhere to the philosophy of ‘doing the job correctly first time’ thereby ensuring customer satisfaction.

With over twenty skilled surfacing crews employed throughout the south of England we have the flexibility to respond to any
situation that may be demanded
by our clients.
