CASE STUDY – Surfacing at Industrial Estate

Surfacing specialists Spadeoak was appointed by our client to complete the surfacing installation at this industrial estate in Aylesford, surfacing the car park, service yard and HGV loading area.

Spadeoak was appointed by our client to carry out surfacing works to a new Industrial estate in Aylesford, Kent, installing base, binder and surface course to the all three areas measuring circa 1,750m².

Quarry Wood Industrial Estate is a prime industrial/logistics park, constructed with access to motorway connections at Junction 5 of the M20 approximately 1 mile west of Maidstone.

Spadeoak installed base, binder and surface course to the all three areas measuring circa 1,750m².
Due to the weight of the traffic that will be using the site, Spadeoak installed a 150mm base course to the service yard and HGV loading area, totalling a depth of 250mm in these areas and 200mm in the car parking area.

Spadeoak was also delighted to support our client with installing a sustainable solution for this project reducing the carbon on site compared to conventional material. This created a saving of over 4 tonnes of carbon, equivalent to planting 170 trees.

The project was completed and handed back to a very happy client.
